Hello friends,

My name is Bilal Hussain and I am a sophomore at Harvard College studying computer science. I am a first-generation student from Pakistan and considering my home is 7000 miles away from where I study, I do feel homesick every now and then. However, I could not be happier about my decision to get a liberal arts education in the USA. During my two years at Harvard, I have connected with a diverse group of people and travelled extensively. I have learned a lot about myself as a person and I look forward to sharing my story with all of you at SIJ. During this two-week program I am hoping to make some unforgettable memories, meet some inspiring people, and learn more about the cultural values and traditions of Japan.
