Some highlights about Language Arts 2

In LA2, we put together final cookbook that showcased the four different types of writing we learned: expository, persuasive, personal narrative and creative fiction. Students brought in family recipes, argued about why they liked their favorite food, told stories about a memorable eating experience, and wrote stories with edible protagonists!

It’s been an honor watching our students learn how to write better, show not tell, find evidence for their statements and narrate their own stories. We’ve loved getting to know our students and learning about them through their writing.

The LA2 class was full of very motivated students! It was amazing to see them learn not only by themselves but also through collaboration. The final day was particularly exciting as the students put together what they had learned about the different kinds of writing and wrote a cookbook!
