スピーチの基本となるボイス、ブレス、アイコンタクト、ジェスチャー、ロゴス・エートス・パトス、など様々なスキルを学習。さらに小グループに分かれて、ディベート・エクスポジトリ・ナラティブの３種類のスピーチ練習を毎日たくさん行いました。７日間、常に明るく統制のとれた大変立派なクラスでした。

The SIJ public speaking workshop helped students to learn the fundamental techniques and skills for giving a speech across a variety of formats.

The students learned to use their voice, build their confidence, and to structure a speech properly to communicate effectively and powerfully with an audience. We also practiced three types of speeches, which will be demonstrated as examples in our closing ceremony: debate, teaching, and storytelling. Since our workshop was a large group, we did lots of small group work to ensure everyone had a chance to speak and to participate.

We were really impressed with students’ willingness to get involved, share their stories, and practice speaking in front of the class. The improvement in our students’ confidence and speaking ability has been noticeable, and we hope they keep practicing their skills in future!
