「国東×ハーバード」

国東1日セッションは、今年で５年目。国東市の４つの中学校と１つの高校の約40名が参加しました。7月に事前学習会でSIJCEO廣津留からライティングの授業を受けていることと、過去に参加したリピーターが何人もいるので、みなさん笑顔でハーバードとスタンフォードの11名から英作文と英語スピーチを学び、見事な発表をしました。

レッスン後は六郷満山1300年の歴史と美しいビーチ、サイクリングトレイル。新鮮な魚介に舌鼓。寿司レッスンではプロを招いて10貫握りました。泉福寺での禅体験と宿泊では身も心も洗われました。

“My whole time in Kunisaki was fantastic. I loved that we were in such small groups (three students + instructor) for the one day seminar because it allowed us to work so closely with the students and see so much improvement in just one day. Additionally, I loved how full our days were here. From spending the night in a Buddhist temple, practicing zen practice, and witnessing the fire ceremony to learning how to make sushi to biking along the coast with views of the ocean as far as you can see, jet skiing, and enjoying bbq on the beach, it was unforgettable.
