I was born in Changsha, China, and moved to the suburbs of Chicago when I was seven years old. I did not know a word of English when I started second grade in America, but I started writing stories as soon as I could cobble together a sentence in English. I have been writing ever since. I studied History and Literature at Harvard and just graduated this May. I am so excited to share my love of language and writing with students in Japan. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and running.
