8月15日は、セミナー最終日です。
午後のファイナルプレゼンテーションでは、世界中から参加の95名の子どもたちが、
４つのワークショップの7日間の成果のほんの一部ですが、ステージに立って発表を行いました。
CSクラスはオリジナルゲーム、PAクラスは４つの演劇、
AWクラスはディベート、PSクラスは全員が自分の夢を披露、
Team USAの12名はみな、子どもたちの努力に感動するとともに心から誇りに思っています！受講生全員から送られたメッセージにも大感激でした！
また、最後には、今年が初開催となるTeam USAによる日本語スピーチ大会が行われ、PAクラスのエリザベスが優勝し、賞品として大分の焼酎・扇子・日本が誇る文房具の３点セットをゲットしました。彼女の流暢なしゃべりと、内容と、笑顔に会場は拍手喝采でした。ほかのみなさんも、わずか７日間で習得したとは思えない日本語の上手さとユーモアに、驚きの連続でした。

On August 11, 2018, for the Final Presentation, 95 students of SIJ presented projects that they had created in their classes, displaying a tremendous grasp of the English language and the skills developed in each of their workshops.
All of the instructors on Team USA were so proud and impressed by all of the students’ hard work!
The ceremony ended with fun speeches in Japanese by Team USA for the first-ever SIJ “Japanese Speech Competition,” which was won by Performing Arts Teacher Elizabeth Duncan.
Team USA will miss Oita and all of their students very much!
