SIJ Talks #4 – Life at Harvard as an International Student by Sean (SIJ2026 Cultural Exchange)

During today’s cultural exchange, I talked with students about my upbringing and my experience in college. I discussed my life in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where I was born, and my journey adapting to life in Canada after immigrating there at the age of eight. I also shared some of my extracurricular involvement in high school and college, including participating in a variety of sports, holding student leadership positions, and enjoying hobbies like trivia club and hiking. Overall, the students seemed engaged throughout, particularly asking lots of questions about adapting to a new environment and what residential life on campus is like.
