For the first time, Summer in JAPAN (SIJ), is excited to announce private violin lessons by Sumire Hirotsuru, violinist and SIJ co-founder, to be held in Oita City on August 3, 2025! 🧚
There are only three places available, so please apply now!
Eligibility: Only participants of the 7-day SIJ English Summer School are eligible.

August 3, 2025, starting at 5:30 PM (45 minutes per student)
Location
Oita City (details provided to selected applicants). A practice room will be available for waiting students.
Instructor
Sumire Hirotsuru, violinist with a Master’s degree from The Juilliard School
Eligible Students
SIJ 2025 participants aged 7–18 with prior violin experience (no skill level requirements)
Lesson Fee
¥20,000 (tax included)
How to Apply
During your SIJ Summer School application on the official website, include “Request for Sumire Hirotsuru Violin Lesson” (廣津留すみれバイオリンレッスン希望) in the free response section. Additional details about the audition process will be provided.
